Points of Pride for Manheim Township School District

Former Secretary of Education Ron Tomalis has applauded Manheim Township School District, and Hempfield and Penn Manor school districts for working together to provide an innovative, online educational program, known as Open Campus PA, for our high school students.


Acting Secretary of Education, Dr. Carolyn Dunaresq, recognized Manheim Township’s student achievement based on our School Performance Profiles.  Dr. Dumaresq presented the Governor’s Award for Excellence to the following Manheim Township schools who scored above 90:

  • Neff Elementary School – 94.8
  • Manheim Township High School – 94.7
  • Bucher Elementary School – 93.3
  • Reidenbaugh Elementary School – 92.9
  • Manheim Township Middle School – 92.1


Manheim Township High School was recently named to the AP Honor Roll, both for Pennsylvania and nationwide, for having more students take advanced placement exams and continue to score well on the exams.


Manheim Township High School Quiz Bowl Team competed and took first place in 2014 Brain Busters Finale.


The Manheim Township High School Quiz Bowl team also walked away with the Lancaster-Lebanon League regular season title as well as the Anne Clouser Memorial Playoff Tournament.


MT High School held its fourth annual mini-THON to support the Four Diamonds Fund.  Over 300 high school students attended the mini-THON.  The evening raised a total of $80,211.08 for the Four Diamonds Fund this year.  A grand total of over $185,000 has been donated to the The Four Diamonds Fund from MTHS students in the past 4 years!


MTHS F1 in Schools racing engineering team took 4th place at the F1 in Schools World Finals Competition.  The team of five talented engineering students qualified to compete at the World Final with the Fastest Car, Best Portfolio, and Second Place Overall at the United States National Competition at Michigan International Speedway.  Team Imperia competed against 38 teams from around the world. Members of the team are: Nathan Hillegas, Martin Stika, Collin Wolf, Colin Stannard and Jonathan Whitcraft.
